Abstract

Electrical conductivity has been measured for decylammonium chloride and cesium perfluorooctanoate aqueous solutions over a range of concentrations from 0–50 wt.% using an alternating field with frequencies from 0.1–20 kHz at 20, 30, 40 and 50°C. From the results the critical micelle concentration and free energy of micellization have been discussed and compared with the literature data. Also, the activation energy has been evaluated from conductivity results at various temperatures. Considerable differences were found between the activation energy at low and high concentrations for both systems.
