Abstract

Measurements of the apparent discharge magnitude and the statistical time lag of discharges in air-filled cavities of various dimensions in polythene under impulse-voltage conditions are described. As a result of repeated discharges, the impulse ratio falls to about unity, and the dispersion, discharge magnitude and time lag are reduced.
