Abstract

In this study, lead-free 0.98(Na0.5K0.5)NbO3–0.02Ba(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3+x mol % CuO (x = 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, or 2.0) ceramics were fabricated. Moreover, the electrical and structural properties of the samples were also investigated. With 1.0 mol % CuO content, the 0.98(Na0.5K0.5)NbO3–0.02Ba(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 (abbreviated as 0.98NKN–0.02BZT) ceramic had the maximum electromechanical coupling coefficient (kp) = 0.48, piezoelectric constant (d33) = 241 pC/N, and dielectric constant = 1577, respectively, at x=1.0 at room temperature.
