Abstract

Tin oxide and antimony doped tin oxide thin films are prepared by spray pyrolysis technique onto glass substrates. The electrical and optical properties of these films have been investigated as a function of dopant concentration, which was varied between 0 and 10 mol% of antimony. The transmission and reflection spectra are studied and the quality factor is calculated for these films. The transmission of undoped tin oxide films and of smaller dopant concentration films is higher in comparison to higher dopant concentration films, while the lowest resistivity is found to exist for 3 mol% of antimony. The quality factor of antimony doped tin oxide films comes out to be highest for 0.5 mol% of dopant concentration.
