Abstract

Physical (electrical and magnetic) properties of a new tetracyano- p-quinodimethane 1:2 complex salt with methyl diethyl sulfonium cation [(CH 3)S(C 2H 5) 2][TCNQ] 2 are described. The compound is a quasi-one-dimensional organic semiconductor with unequally spaced TCNQ chains. We suggest that ESR parameters result from the properties of both donor and acceptor radicals, whereas the electrical transport in the sample is due to carriers from TCNQ chains only.
