Abstract
Abstract The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate an approach to automatic-control investigation through the use of an electrical-analogy method. A complete description of the apparatus is included, each unit being related to a counter-part in an industrial control application. Diagrams and calibrations of the various units comprising the electrical process analog are given. For illustration of the manner of setting up a problem, the effect of controller scale span upon controller adjustment is shown.
