Abstract

Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations have been observed in p-type inversion layers adjacent to the grain boundary in germanium bicrystals. The data are compared with self-consistent calculations of the subband structure in the Hartree approximation. The quantum oscillations arise from the light hole subband with m c=0.34 m 0.
