Abstract
The aim of this experimental investigation is to measure the electric near field inside of active microwave circuits. An electric field probe which is applicable in the 1 to 20 GHz range has been developed, using a miniaturized semirigid cable. The measured image of the normal electric field component in a surface over a 2.46 GHz amplifier is presented and agrees well with theory.
