Abstract

The electronic mobility due to the scattering of charge carriers by electric dipole moments is calculated with the Born approximation scattering cross section. Two special cases are considered; (1) random orientation of the dipoles, (2) perfect alignment of the dipoles. For a non-degenerate electron gas, the relaxation time is found to be proportional to E 1 2 and the mobility, to T 1 2 .
