Abstract

I address microscopic calculations for the electric conductivity in quark matter under a magnetic field at finite temperature and chemical potentials. The problem of the lowest Landau level approximation is that the electric conductivity unphysically diverges due to phase space restriction. With several Landau levels taken into account, the electric conductivity quickly converges to reach qualitative agreement with observed behavior in condensed matter experiment.
