Abstract

1. In the region of negative temperatures, in the acoustic frequency range, in NaA zeolite at a water content of one and two molecules per cavity there are five maxima of the losses, probably due to relaxation of water molecules occupying sites with different energies of fixation. 2. The average value of the free energy of activation of the process of polarization of the dielectric ΔFτ is a part of the heat of adsorption. It is equal to the height of the potential barrier that the water molecule overcomes in passing from cavity to cavity. 3. In NaCaA zeolite in the region under consideration, no maximum of the relaxation losses was observed. This circumstance may be associated with the “antiparallel” arrangement of the dipoles belonging to the adsorbed water, close to the entrance windows into the cavity.
