Abstract
An elderly man with dementia presented to the emergency department due to multiple falls but the care team was unable to obtain a meaningful history or review of systems. On examination he had an auricular hematoma, prompting computed tomography of the head, which showed a lens dislocation in the right eye (Figure 1). The emergency physicians performed point-of-care ultrasonography confirming the dislocation but additionally diagnosing a retinal detachment (Figure 2, Video E1).
