Abstract

The laws of the development of plastic deformation at the crack tip are revealed using a systematic finite element study, and an increase in the stiffness of the stress state due to the appearance of a small plastic zone is proved. The parameters of the state of stress in an elastoplastic body with a crack are quantitatively estimated.
