Abstract

The deformation compatibility conditions of ring-plate gear reducer with small tooth number difference are analyzed by con-sidering the deformations such as ring-plates, high-speed shafts, gears, bearings and errors of cranks. Then an elasto-dynamic model is developed with the combination of lumped parameter method and finite element method. By solving the elasto-dynamic governing equation of the transmission system, the loading state and mode characteristics of the reducer under single and double input condition are predicted. At last, a finite element model is developed in ANSYS to validate the accuracy of the elasto-dynamic model. The good match between the results of two models indicates that the elasto-dynamic model has a satisfactory precision.
