Abstract
The velocity dependence of the total elastic cross section for 5-90 eV gold neutrals on Ar0 has been measured. Information about the interaction potential has been obtained, which shows evidence of a Lennard-Jones type of behaviour. A similarity to the Cs0:Ar0 case is noted.
