Elastic, piezoelectric and dielectric properties of ZnO and CdS single crystals in a wide range of temperatures

Abstract

A complete set of elastic, piezoelectric and dielectric constants of ZnO and CdS at room temperature was determined by the method of resonance-antiresonance. Elastic constants s E 11, s E 12, s E 55, c D 33, c D 55, coefficients of electromechanical coupling k 31, k 15, k t and dielectric constants ε T 11, ε T 33 of ZnO single crystals were determined in the temperature range 4.2–800 K. Elastic constants s E 11, s E 12, s D 33, s E 55, s D 33, s D 55, coefficients of electromechanical coupling k 31, k 33, k 15, k t and dielectric constants ε T 11, ε T 33 of CdS single crystals were determined in the temperature range 4.2–300 K.
