Abstract

The angular distributions of protons elastically scattered from Ne and inelastically scattered from Ne 20 ( Q =1.63 MeV) were measured from 30° to 165° in the laboratory system at bombarding energies of 4.7, 4.9, 5.1, 5.3 and 5.5 MeV. Photographic plates were employed for the detection of scattered particles. The distributions for the elastic scattering of protons varied markedly with the primary energies, while the five distributions for the inelastic scattering had roughly similar shapes.
