Abstract

The ( 6Li, 6Li') scattering on 70Ge and 72Ge has been studied at 44 MeV using a tandem Van de Graaff accelerator and a split-pole magnetic spectrometer, with an overall energy resolution of 80 keV. Angular distributions have been obtained for 10 states in 70Ge and 72Ge. The 2 1 + and 3 1 − states are strongly excited in comparison with the 0 2 +, 2 2 +, and 4 1 + states. The data have been analysed with the distorted-wave Born approximation and coupled-channels calculations based on the (harmonic and anharmonic) vibrational model and asymmetric rotor model.
