Abstract

An analysis of high-energy proton-proton scattering with bare-Pomeron intercept above 1 is presented. Using a value ${\ensuremath{\alpha}}_{P}(0)=1.06$, determined by the energy dependence of the $\mathrm{pp}$ total cross section, a triple-Regge analysis of the inclusive process $\mathrm{pp}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\mathrm{pX}$ is carried out and compared with the results of a more conventional analysis with ${\ensuremath{\alpha}}_{P}=1$. The resulting triple-Regge couplings are used in calculating the second-order corrections to the bare Pomeron in the bare perturbation expansion of Reggeon field theory. We find that such an approach can correctly describe the existing high-energy $\mathrm{pp}$ total-cross-section, elastic-, and inclusive-scattering data.
