Abstract

A method for producing a reflector for a mirror space antenna by vacuum infusion from thin and low-porosity carbon-fiber fabric is discussed. The results of studying the influence of the porosity of carbonfiber fabric on its shape-generating properties when placing it on the double-curvature surface of a molding tool are given. Three methods of placement are suggested. The kinetics of the soaking process is evaluated theoretically and experimentally.
