The theme arose from the knowledge acquired during the course of production engineering together with the visible potential of applying tools that involve planning and control of materials. The use of inventory management tools, process mapping and waste identification, if planned in detail, enable an adequate organization of the industrial park, reduction of inventory investments, better utilization of the physical space and application of capital in activities that really Add value to the product. At the end of this paper, the results obtained with stock management will be presented, which include a reduction of the wood inventory volume from 394,7m³ to 115m³, representing a savings of 71%.
