Abstract
China's urbanization process is still in rapid development, so conventional and extraordinary emergencies remain inevitable and may even occur frequently. After more than a decade of efforts, China's urban emergency management capabilities have improved significantly, constituting a strong guarantee for urban life. This paper, presented at the Public Function Forum 2020, reviews and summarizes the experiences of urban public safety management in China, based on the scientific preparation of drills and contingency plans as an effective response to emergencies.
