Abstract

In this paper we introduce a first evaluation of the potential of a magnificent resource, as is the photographic series known as Vuelo Ruiz de Alda (1929-30), for the archaeological investigation and in particular the stratigraphy of the landscape. To this end, the images have been tested by applying them to two ancient Iberian sites: El Oral and El Molar. Similarly, there has been a reinvestigation of the road networks in La Alcudia-Ilici, and subsequently the Roman cadastre and the smallholding in the immediate surroundings.
