Abstract

The Attention Deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a disease that occurs in 3% to 7% in school-age children and a set of features related to the lack of attention, hyperactivity, inattention and lack of performance, which commits affecting their learning process and integration in the different fields of life. The purpose of the research was to design a teaching strategy that will facilitate the process of self-regulation of behavior in children with ADHD through the theatrical resource. For this study, contemplate a population of 20 students that meet the criteria for ADHD and 56 teachers in the Corporation education American School, located in a municipality of the Colombian Caribbean region; was intentionally extracted a sample composed of 7 children diagnosed with ADHD and 20 responsible teachers teaching these children. In observations made in class, the children with ADHD focused on academic activities in the theatre class and very little focused on other responses (distractors), to differences in other subjects, where children attended more to the other answers, that the academic activities.
