Abstract

The study is of great importance for Sinop province and regional tourism in determining theproblems faced by handicrafts, which is an important touristic product for Sinop, ensuringsustainability of handicrafts and increasing their contribution to tourism. The aim of the study;to find solutions to the problems of Sinop's traditional handicraft production and to increase thecontribution of Sinop's handicrafts to tourism. Interview technique was preferred amongqualitative research methods in the study. The results obtained in line with the research at theend of the interviews with the craftsmen; It has been determined that municipal studies shouldbe carried out on the difficulties in raising qualified personnel, the problem of access to rawmaterials, informing the public about handicrafts, incentive activities for artisans andpromotional activities of the province of Sinop.
