Abstract

[EN] The objectives of this thesis are very simple, inquire about painting, about the Realist movement in painting and the plea and the first cause of all creative act, resulting in the perception of pictorial representation and realistic in this case. Why the representation is not abstract and realistic?, or why one or the other predominates?; the reason for the strong presence of the image in the XXI century and its pictorial representation; an analysis of the contents and composition of these images are largely the paint benchmark leads to a reflection on a greater presence of realistic painting in our country and outside it, and in our country focuses on two main geographical locations, Madrid and Valencia. The first line of research that focuses on the teacher Antonio Lopez Garcia, and has the background to his uncle Antonio Lopez Torres and called Madrid School, which already is represented in the American photorealism that arises after the Pop-Art USA with some of its members, for example Claudio Bravo or Lopez called. The second axis is Valencia, as a core of social realism and political, while claiming not only more freedom to open up to Europe involve cultural and economic influences of the avant-garde and trends in Europe predominate, but also to an exchange, to open cultural exchanges increasingly present City increasingly curious, more interested in knowledge, more plural, and above all, the main difference is the benchmark. The model, perhaps the cause. Social evolution in the XXI century puts us at all, before a dramatic proliferation of the image, how to perceive or express, it is what changes. So the first chapter expresses some ideas that help us to understand a way of expression that has always existed but now prevails, we all enter through the eyes, the image in the XXI century is equated with the written word and voice; this communicative visual twist to what is essential to understand any realistic painting that is done today. The development of the painting, which reflects reality as the spread within the pictorial realism returns to have a greater presence in the XXI century, after the dominance of the avant-garde in the twentieth century, is in the second chapter of this research. Another objective thereof is to analyze the presence of visual realism and leading to it. The motivation of the artists and the need to represent the world through mimesis, a representation of the reality that the artist formulated as true is another question that artists are carried out from beginning to create and that this chapter addresses from the viewpoint of a painter. Another objective of this research is the analysis of how this mimetic, realistic representation interacts with other artistic disciplines, and also with new technologies, the use of social networks and the Internet as a means of dissemination and as a source of knowledge and culture visual; the analysis of how this affects the painting and vice versa, develop in the next chapter, in the XXI century.
