Abstract
Este articulo discute como los cambios en las formas de pensar en Nueva Inglaterra entre los siglos XVIII y XIX, tuvieron reflejo en las condiciones materiales de vida, partiendo del análisis de los planteos de Henry Glassie (1975) sobre las casas tradicionales y de James Deetz (1977) sobre la cultura material, del llamado Georgian Order.
