Abstract
Esta investigación tiene como objetivo identificar las complicaciones contemporáneas afrontadas por los gestores empresariales en el desarrollo de sus funciones. Mediante la revisión de la literatura, se analizan factores externos, como la innovación y la globalización, que pueden ser amenazantes pero cuya relevancia se ve opacada por la pandemia de la COVID-19. Los hallazgos principales muestran que, en conjunto con complicaciones históricas, la pandemia ha enfrentado a la gestión empresarial con retos consistentes, incidiendo así en la perspectiva de su misión contemporánea.
