Abstract

While I was planning my research on the politics of identity and culture under intercultural relationships in Mexico I had a dream that transformed my way of conceiving the study of language and the relevance of personal interpretations. From a later reflexion; I present here the methodological proposal that came from the challenges emerged from the need of constructing a corpus simultaneously limited and open and able to be analysed systematically. Beginning from the deconstruction of meanings in my dream; which I considered as point of departure and textual node of a hypertext of social meanings; I follow the links with other texts created by multiple producers in different medium. In them their ideologies; political positions; cultural values and forms of collaboration and conflict were represented. In this paper I report such process; highlighting the analytical productivity of considering culture as a complex hypertext.
