Ejidal communities of southern Mexico.

Abstract

Mexican ejidos are recognized as social properties with ecological and economic potential; however, these types of communities continue to be a benchmark for the lack of clear policies that lead to conclusive social and economic growth. Approached from a qualitative ethnographic perspective, a case study of descriptive exploratory scope is presented, being the focus of interest the economic and social organizational analysis of an ejido called Buena Vista Puxcatán, located in the municipality of Macuspana, Tabasco. The results indicate that an organization with precarious and unstable social and economic development prevails in the ejido community "Buena Vista Puxcatán" and, according to the documentary research carried out, it is an aspect that prevails throughout the Mexican territory.
