Ejemplos del griego rabinico a la luz del tesoro lexicográfico del <i>DGE</i>

Abstract

Rabbinical Greek is defined as the Greek vocabulary which emerged in Aramaic and Hebrew sources from the first century B.C. until the end of the Byzantine period. The study of this vocabulary enlarges our understanding of the lexicon of religious life and political administration in the Roman East, as well as increasing our recognition of phonetical phenomena in the transition from κοινή to Byzantine and Modern Greek. The present work is devoted to the study of the Greek words in Genesis Rabba , a traditional Jewish commentary written in Palestine during the Byzantine period. The proper use of the DGE and its catalogue was helpful for a better understanding and interpretation of these rabbinical sources and their Hellenistic heritage.
