Abstract
Eighteen years after the first meeting of this series, the third Eirelec conference was held once again at the Dunraven Arms Hotel within the picturesque village of Adare (County Limerick, Ireland). From 16 to 18 May 2011, around 60 electrochemists from three different continents met at the conference, which was chaired by Blanaid White (Dublin City University). During the scientific programme, six plenary lectures, 21 short talks and 26 posters were presented.
