Abstract
Based on experience gained we can sum up the following points as given and proved. The hardness of the wood is increased many times; durability and thus the life span of a product considerably improved; only insignificant improvement has been achieved so far with regard to dimensional stabilisation;the natural character of the wood is preserved; the product(floor boards) is restorable, i.e. it can be smoothed and the new surface can be treated; its employment in heavily frequented rooms has furnished proof of its suitability.
