Abstract

Employing a mapping concept to study the parameters of HMO theory qualitative properties such as injectivity is of considerable importance. An essential aspect concerns the stability of mappings: in the case of unstable mappings small perturbations may affect the local injectivity. Catastrophe theory as an outstanding tool to probe the stability of mappings is used here.
