Abstract
A Java class library was developed to be able to access the data of the treatment planning system Varian Cadplan which was decommissioned in 2005. The library reads and encapsulates the most important patient data. It facilitates creating viewing software for CT slices, contours and isodoses.Keeping alive old Cadplan hardware is no longer necessary. The files can be stored on any server in the network of a department and they can be accessed from any workstation capable of running Java software.
