Abstract
A new ELISA is presented here, which detects the IgG antibodies against the antigens in the moldy water of misting fountains. In the sera of 30 of 32 patients suffering from humidifier lung from these new developed humidifiers, IgG antibodies were detected by this screening test. Positive results of this ELISA using coated pooled moldy humidifier water from 4 patients should be confirmed by the Ouchterlony test using patients humidifier water or by IgG tests against the single antigens of humidifier lung as Aureobasidium pullulans, Cephalosporium acremonium, Penicillia and other known molds and bacteria.
