Abstract
A Novel Ester Iridoid Glucoside from Sambucus ebulus L. (Caprifoliaceae)A novel ester iridoid glucoside, ebuloside (1,), which shows structure elements of the rare 7‐Dehydrologanin derivatives combined with those of the Valerianaceae iridoids, was isolated from the roots of Sambucus ebulus L. Its structure was determined by MS, NMR, and CD spectroscopy as 7‐oxo‐8‐deoxyvalerosidatum.
