Abstract

Abstract At least 30–50 pairs of the Great White Pelican (Pelecanus onocrotalus) bred in the Karapinaz Ovasi in 1985. The nesting site was a dry salt pan and the pelicans apparently used the Eregli Marshes for feeding, some 30 – 40 km away.
