Abstract

Fred Wander worked in his prose with a concept of language, which is influenced by the dictate using only simple and distinct elements of language after Auschwitz. over decades he devised a narration in which the diachrone timestructure represents the most important element. In his work as a photographer he developed criteria of a humane and truthfully portrayal of individuals. This and the conception of his prose allowed him to express his memories of exile, deportation and the experience of the concentration camps.
