Abstract

The essay presents a school edition of the novel I ragazzi hanno grandi sogni (2018) by Alì Ehsani and Francesco Casolo. The novel is not only a key text in youth literature for its literary treatment of the experiences of migration, flight, immigration and integration, but it also makes reference to the tradition of the coming-of-age novel. Together with the school edition, a 38-page Guida dell’insegnante was released that presents activities before, during and after the reading as well as various teaching proposals to discuss aspects of inter- and transculturality and sociocultural and aesthetic perspectives of the novel.
