Abstract

Background: Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is an established symptomatic treatment for advanced Parkinson’s disease. Eight-contacts with multiple-source current steering DBS devices are used worldwide, however, the evidences for its clinical utility are limited mainly to subthalamic DBS.
