Abstract

The eigenvectors of the magnetic excitations of CsNiCl 3 were studied along the chain axis. The increasing line width from one side of the Brillouin zone (001) to the other (002) points to a change of the character of the eigenvectors which cannot be explained by simple spin-wave theory.
