Abstract
In this paper, we have derived the exact eigenvalue equation by using the transmission line method for double negative metamaterial slab. The derived results have exactly matched with the existing results found in the literature. The unusual behavior of double negative metamaterial is predicted. Dispersion study, modified profile and the power con- finement factor have been predicted for the case of double negative metamaterials.
