Abstract
It has been just little more than a year from the launching date of the IEEE <italic xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing</i> ( <italic xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">TETC</i> ) and I am honored to report to you on the many success stories that have occurred over this time period. <italic xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">TETC</i> has published 4 issues (exclusive of the current one) in 2013 and 2014, as evidenced by Special Issues and Sections on a diverse range of topics such as Cyber-Physical Systems; Emerging Nanoscale Architectures for Hardware Security, Trust, and Reliability; Computational Sustainability. A total of 50 manuscripts have been published (31 in 2013 and 19 in 2014); all these manuscripts are now available in Open Access (OA) format at the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
