Abstract

The research aims to studying the artistically trends of photography in Egypt since 1875, theyear which Armenians began to appear on the art scene. The research deals with threedistinct models of photographers, who came to Egypt, settled out in it and practiced this artwithout interruption until 1900 and possibly beyond that. Their works expressed about thereality of the Egyptian environment, and reflected the international art trends that dominatedin this period, whereas it was transported to Egypt in what was transported to Egypt such asall European influences generally. They were chosen, as they practiced this art in Turkey andEgypt at the same time, and they have learned at the hands of the Europeans in Europe andTurkey, and competed their Europeans peers in Egypt and outnumbered them, and saw themall European art academies in particular, the study shows the origin and artistic education andthe most important technical features for each of them and the factors that affect it and all itsimplications and their role in the Renaissance of photography in Egypt.
