Abstract

This study was performed to develop and validate ego resilience scale for adolescent athletes. In order to develop a measurement tool of ego resilience of adolescent to target 126 people an open survey was conducted, and collection the data through the survey is that according to the similarity of the contents that the raw data to the details area, and detail area was the general area of inductive categorization. Inductive categorization results, ego resilience of adolescent athlete was categorized to the four factors as positive thinking, emotion regulation, human relationship and problem solving. Based on the detail areas categorized of four factors, adolescent player 268 people to adolescent athletes ego resilience measurement tool for the development of a preliminary survey was conducted, and conduct a survey to 268 adolescent players in order to explore the structure of the concept of athletes ego resilience, an exploratory factor analysis was conducted. Through the exploratory factor analysis, ego resilience of adolescent athlete was structured to the four factors as positive thinking, emotion regulation, human relationship and problem solving. For the verify conformance of the structure of the four factors derived through exploratory factor analysis, conduct a survey of 315, 207 people adolescent athletes, the confirmatory factor analysis and validity were analyzed, and adolescent athletes ego resilience measurement tool was consisted of nineteen questions for the final four factors, and this measurement tool was recognized convergent and discriminant validity.
