Abstract

EVERAL investigators have demonstrated that infectious sinusitis can be egg transmitted.5,6,7,8,10 Grumbles and Boney3 encountered field evidence that suggested egg transmission of infectious sinusitis, but they were unable to demonstrate this mode of transmission experimentally. A report of egg transmission of a respiratory disease of undetermined etiology by Harr4 shows some resemblance to infectious sinusitis. A field report in the lay press by Blom2 on egg transmission of air sac infection may also refer to infectious sinusitis.
