Abstract

Advances in reproductive techniques have provided the opportunity to concept from oocytes banks. However, initial trials on oocyte cryopreservation have presented limited outcomes, probably due to the spindle misalignment and errors in the chromosomal arrangement, as a consequence to the ice formation during the process. Recently, improvements in method and the introduction of the vitrification allow better clinical outcomes and oocyte vitrification was included in the in vitro fertilization (IVF) routine.
