Abstract
Angular number distributions of chemically interacting species have been calculated for cylindrical orifices. In these calculations, the assumption of chemical equilibrium among adsorbed species on the orifice wall and the basic assumptions of the Clausing theory including no surface diffusion were made. Numbers of molecules leaving the orifice wall and angular number distributions were calculated for the different species using equations originally developed for a single species by Edwards and Freeman. The calculated results are in good agreement with previous theoretical results by Voronin and are compared to those by Winterbottom. There is excellent agreement between the experimental angular number distributions measured and corrected by Grimley et al. and these calculated results.
