AbstractAn efficient synthesis of ethyl 2‐(dimethylamino)‐1,3‐thiazole‐4‐carboxylates is described via a four‐component reaction between acid chlorides, tetramethylthiourea, ethyl bromopyruvate, and ammonium thiocyanate.
